Andrew McBride is founder and managing partner of Covitus Capital, where he has played a crucial role in the firm's development since its establishment in 2023. With over nine years of experience in finance, Andrew has been involved in M&A and restructuring transactions amounting to nearly $1.5 billion. His expertise lies in the energy and infrastructure, transportation and maritime, real estate, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
Before joining Covitus Capital, Andrew worked as a Managing Director at Young America Capital and served as an Interim President and Chief Restructuring Officer for a manufacturing company under a venture capital group. He also held a Director position at a middle-market restructuring and turnaround group, where he assisted clients in navigating bankruptcy proceedings, foreclosures, ABCs, and liquidations. Andrew's early career began in the shipping and oil and gas industries, where he worked as a licensed marine and subsea engineer at Transocean and Seadrill Americas.
Andrew holds an MBA in Finance from Boston University Questrom School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He is also an IADC Certified Subsea Engineer, a licensed Marine Engineer with an Unlimited Tonnage License from the United States Coast Guard, and a Commissioned Officer in the United States Navy Reserves as Lieutenant. He is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
Andrew also holds licenses for SIE, Series 63, and 79.
